a dream holiday
at Lake Garda.
They are two separate centers, divided by the river Toscolano. It has Roman origins, as evidenced by the remains of a large villa with pieces of mosaic floor. In the final part of the river valley, since 1300 it has developed one of the first in Europe, the paper industry. This section is called the Paper Mill Valley, where there is an interesting trail.
In its territory lies the mountain Pizzocolo (1,581 m) from the top you can enjoy a wonderful view that stretches from the Alps to the Apennines. The historical crops are olives, citrus fruits (lemons in particular) and the vine. From Maderno starts a ferry boat service to Torri del Benaco (Verona side).
